I love the story about the boy who, standing alone at home plate, bat in hand, pitching to himself proclaims “I’m the GREATEST hitter in world!” Strike 1.

Again, I’m the GREATEST hitter in the world! Strike 2.

Hmmm. I’m the GREATEST hitter in the world! Strike 3.

Wow!!! (wide eyed) I’m the GREATEST pitcher in the world! Yes!!!!

You have over 50,000 conversations with yourself every day. It’s true! And in these 50,000 conversations approximately 80% of these include negative thoughts and words. That means over 40,000 negative thoughts are in your mind every.single.day. Kind of staggering, huh?

The good news though is that you are 100% responsible for your thoughts so you can turn the negatives into positives! You can replace the negative chatter with positive chatter. Instead of telling yourself your too fat, too old, too wrinkled, too inexperienced, too uneducated, and so on, you can tell yourself that your just right, experienced, beautiful, in the know, talented, skilled, confident, and so on.

Whatever feelings you have within you are attracting your tomorrow. Worry attracts more worry. Anxiety attracts more anxiety. Unhappiness attracts more unhappiness. Dissatisfaction attracts more dissatisfaction. And, if that is true, than the opposite must be true.

Joy attracts more joy. Happiness attracts more happiness. Peace attracts more peace. Gratitude attracts more gratitude. Kindness attracts more kindness. Love attracts more love.

You believe what you tell yourself. It’s your job to tell yourself who you are, how you feel, what actions to take, and what you expect of yourself.

Encourage yourself whether or not you have encouragement from anyone else. Affirm yourself when no one else affirms you. Learn to be your own best friend. Speak kindly to yourself. Speak with love to yourself. Be truthful with yourself.

Your beliefs are YOUR CHOICE! Whatever you think, your subconscious mind will begin to work on making your thoughts reality. So make the choice to believe in yourself and think positively.
